TIGHTROPE WALKER OF TIME

You are a foolish tightrope walker of time
riding upon the lacework of the rain,
following the moonlit gusts
across your sea stirred by danger.

A journey against the light of thought
into the gloomy universe of mist,
a journey to which life summons us
from springtime into winter.

Live by kindling stars within your chest,
transforming bitterness into sweetness,
harvesting reason from madness
and uprooting cypresses from lament!

Set the fearless birds into flight
if the monster of doubt awakens,
if you drift aimlessly while the sun grows dim
and the tragic noise of fear is heard!

Shatter ancient tombstones made of steel
and ring the bells of the muses
if weeds emerge within the thicket
and shadows spread across your kingdom!

But... foolish tightrope walker of time,
you stagger, shriek, gesticulate,
expecting a soft and gentle foam,
while your head falls straight toward the ground.
