MY PARADISE

Let me rest within this peace, in peace,
understand the torment of my unfathomable wound;
I take refuge within my circle of beautiful fantasy,
in a new garden beyond the mire.

It is serene innocence within the heart;
among the olive trees, the Voice ripens with the Good News;
it is glory, nirvana, celestial harmony,
where the soul shines forth with the majesty of the Sun.

Wars
have ended, terror has been destroyed;
there is no hunger, thirst, or illness endured;
good has triumphed over the power of evil,
and despair has yielded to hope.

I transform sadness into mystical joy;
ungrateful indifference into compassionate fervor;
torturing absence into gentle acceptance,
and gloomy death into radiant life.

I have companionship; loneliness no
longer exists.
In valleys and mountains, I feel the love of God;
to those who have harmed me, I give forgetfulness and forgiveness,
and to the needy, I offer my wine and bread.

I know this world is a dream, that it is
not reality,
that it is madness, delirium, an escape from my pain,
a sweet paradise for my salvation...
I ask only that you leave me in this peace, in peace!
